Dear Parents/Guardians: As you know, MCISD made the decision to close our campuses for the next two weeks due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). During this time, it is extremely important that we continue to provide instructional opportunities for our students. Our staffs have met to prepare all of the materials for the time of the closure.

Students have been assigned an activity in each of the core subjects: ELAR (Reading and writing), Math, Science, and Social Studies. Students are expected to complete assignments/activities to fulfill each week’s academic requirements.

In order to ensure that all students have access to the necessary materials, they will be offered in two formats: online and in hard copy that can be picked up at each campus. The digital materials are available through our webpage.

If you would like a hard copy of the materials, you may pick them up at the respective campuses on Wednesday, March 18, between 9:00am-12:00pm.

Once the activities have been completed, a digital copy may be emailed back to the teacher or may be returned to the school. If you are returning the completed assignment to your student’s respected campus, each campus office will be open on Wednesday, March 25, 9:00am-12:00pm. If you have not picked up assignments/activities, you may also do this at that time.

Progress reports will not be sent out this week, but you can check your child’s parent portal to see the current grades.

Thank you so much for your patience as we all continue to make the best of a difficult situation. As the saying goes, “It takes a village.” That has never been truer than now! Sincerely, McCamey ISD Administration
