McCamey High School has resumed as normal. Texas Gas Service verified there is zero gas in the air at the high school.
McCamey ISD would like to thank McCamey Volunteer Fire Department, Upton County Sheriff's Office, Texas Gas Service, and Joe Ramirez Heating and Cooling for their help.
We also appreciate the patience of our staff, students, and parents as we worked to make the building safe for everyone.

Update on High School:
Texas Gas Service will be on site to confirm the area is safe prior to students and staff entering the building. Students are currently with staff at the football stadium. As soon as we receive confirmation, classes will resume.
McCamey High School parents.
McCamey High School staff found gas on in the science labs this morning when they entered the building. All gas valves including the main valve have been shut off. Currently, we are not letting students or staff in the building until we are certain it is safe for everyone.
