Today, McCamey ISD along with Upton County Sheriff's Office investigated a report of a possible threat. After investigation, the claim was confirmed to be false and there was never an active threat towards the school. While investigating, students and staff were not in danger at any time. The safety of McCamey ISD's students and staff is the priority. All reports involving students and staff safety will be taken seriously and followed through with law enforcement. We always encourage any concerns to be brought to the attention of the district to be investigated.
McCamey ISD was made aware of a possible threat made toward the school. McCamey ISD in partnership with the Upton County Sheriff's Office have been investigating the situation. At this time, McCamey ISD is operating as normal. We will continue to investigate the situation and ensure that our students and staff's safety is the priority.
